Mr. Gia ARABIDZE  is a founder of Energy Engineers Association of Georgia. He is a member of the Georgian Academy of Engineering and Association of Energy Engineers of USA (AEE). Also, he is distinguished energy professional recognized as a Legend in Energy by the AEE.

He holds degree of a Doctor of Technical Sciences, certificates of trainer and expert on energy auditing of buildings and  energy management.

He has 48 years of experience as an energy expert/consultant working on energy-related issues such as Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energies, Energy Audits, Thermal Energy types, Energy Saving opportunities, GHG reduction, Energy Law, Energy Code. . He has participated in dozens of international and local projects.

He is a national energy expert of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the advisor of the Energy Council of the Georgian Parliament. Also, he is a Professor at GTU and an author of several of publication of scientific articles, monographs and textbooks related to energy and power engineering.

He made significant contribution in the development of  Georgian SEAP – Sustainable Energy Action Plan, NEAP – National Energy Action Plan, NREAP – National Renewable Energy Action Plan, EEAP – Energy Efficiency Action Plan, CAP – Climate Action Plan.
